European and American forests have become our most prevalent source of commercial species. Efficient forest management has meant popular timbers from these regions are responsibly sourced.
Grading rules and good forest management practice ensure product stability, consistency and sustainability.
Softwoods constitute around 80 percent of global timber production. They come from coniferous evergreen forests that grow in cool temperate climates like the Baltic region (Scandinavia and Northern Russia), Canada and North America. They grow more quickly than hardwoods and, despite the name, some softwood species can be harder and stronger than hardwood.
Our range includes tropical hardwoods, clear softwoods and Scandinavian softwoods.
